Weekend Gaming, What are you playing?

For gaming news, it's been a relatively quiet week. Big release this past Tuesday, Gears of War 3. I haven't gotten a chance to play it, but how is everyone enjoying it?

I will be continuing my journey in Dead Island this weekend, current at the end of Act 3, level 13. A few days ago I just finished the *spoilers* hotel part, where you have to retrieve the armored truck to clear the tunnel*end spoilers*. After that I have been playing a lot of the Sega Genesis collection, so maybe more recordings?

Weekend Gaming TGS 2011 Edition

Today is Friday, marking the end of the working week for most. Time to kick back and fire up that game you been looking forward to playing all week.

This week, what a week it has been for gaming! We got a truck load of Nintendo 3DS news, including a bomb that went off with the reveal of Monster Hunter 4.

On the Vita front, we got a Japanese release date, December 17th. With Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 being a launch title, Final Fantasy X on both Vita and PS3 was big news for a lot of people.

My weekend will be spent when I get the chance, playing Dead Island, I am one of those 2 million that bought the game. Currently on Act 3 with Purna and nearing the end of Act 3 with another. Anybody up for coop on Steam? You can add me: Scooby Dum

Weekend Gaming Zombie Edition, What are you playing?

Today is Friday, marking the end of the working week for most. Time to kick back and fire up that game you been looking forward to playing all week.

This weekend looks to be zombie filled for me. Having the PC and Xbox 360 versions of Dead Island, I am in the for long haul with an island full of zombies.

Now having played the dev version this past tuesday on the PC, it really left a bad taste in my mouth. I always see the "floppy" arm when sprinting or the just awful animations that my shadow leaves when playing. I know it might be nitpicking, but after playing the game in 3rd person view, it's just burned into my mind. You can see what I am talking about.

When playing the Xbox 360 version, everything seems just smoother, easier, all around better experience. Probably due to the UI being tailored more so to consoles.

Anyone willing to join up in some Dead Island coop on PC?

Weekend Gaming, What are you playing?

Today is Friday, marking the end of the working week for most. Time to kick back and fire up that game you been looking forward to playing all week.

While I am looking forward to playing Dead Island next week, a sandbox zombie RPG, what's not to love?

I am currently a bit after the intro for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which I hope to get around to playing this weekend. A few things about Deus Ex: HR have bugged me, such as the orange filter over the graphics, and robotic stiff animations (everyone looks like they are tweaking), but overall the game has been fantastic.

The choice of your actions in the game have real weight to them, especially during the action, but I can't help feeling everything I do is the wrong choice.

Also hoping to find some time to finish The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Stopping at that dungeon, the dreaded water temple.

Steam this weekend is also having a free weekend play event for Call of Duty: Black Ops, anyone going to be playing that?
