Phantasy Star Online 2 TGS 2011 Trailer

Sega was showing off Phantasy Star Online 2 via live stream. Youtube member InitialF7 managed to record the TGS 2011 Trailer.

We can see lots of different weapon types, and for the first time in-game FOnewmn, with his funky clown self. Even FOCast/Caseals make an appereance, which is new to the Phantasy Star Online series.

A brand new city area is shown infested with tons of alien monsters to slay or pew pew. Fighting giant monsters looks great and the music is very PSO'ish. The alpha to Phantasy Star Online 2 ended a few weeks ago and will be moving into the beta phase in the upcoming weeks.

Supposedly launching in 2011 at least in Japan, it would be great to get back into Phantasy Star Online series, after putting in thousands of hours into it on Dreamcast

Sonic time warping into action on Nov. 1

Sonic Generations will drop for the PS3 and 360 on Nov. 1 of this year. Its Sonic's twentieth anniversary and it looks like Sega is pulling out all the stops on this one. This time around Sonic is going to be jumping from different era's of history caused by a mysterious force ripping holes in time. Along the way he will meet his old friends and a classic version himself, hopefully he doesn't cause some time space paradox mumbo jumbo and collapse the universe (that would actually be pretty cool). Each version of Sonic will feature his own moves and their own tracks for each stage. One of the games tag lines reads "Double the Sonic, Double the fun!" and it sounds pretty accurate.

If you are a true die hard Sonic fan you might want to consider picking up the "limited edition" release of the game. This edition (assuming its still available) will have quite a few collectible items and bonus's to enjoy.

Overkill B Movie Zombies

Launching October 25th, House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut will be hitting the PS3, using the Move controller to boot. Sega released a trailer featuring lots of filters, cheesy voice acting, more blood, more gore, and more strippers. Expanding on the Wii version, it will feature a new character, more chapters, and HD graphics.

Sonic CD Speeds Into Trailer

SEGA released a short trailer on what to expect for Sonic CD. Starting off with a 3D Dr. Robotnik and Sonic, as they run into the past, transforming into 2D.

Considered to be one of the best, if not the best Sonic. The blue blur is heading his way to PC, Xbox Arcade, PSN, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7.

Virtua Fighter 5 Makeover!

Sega announced today that Virtua Fighter 5, the most recent title in there legendary fighting series will see a update on large proportions.  This update will come on the PSN and Xbox Live networks and will be a standalone title called Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown.  Its going to be a full overhaul of the original title featuring new mechanics, animations, new arenas, new game modes, and of course a massive amount of new character customizing items to obtain.  They will also be introducing two new characters to the already large line-up.  Virtua Fighter 5 had a strong focus on online matches and hopefully this new version for PSN and Xbox Arcade will really deliver those epic battles on a new level.

Phantasy Star Online 2 Alpha Impressions Preview

In the alpha test you can choose to create a character of both genders among the three races, Human, Newman, and Cast. The class you can choose from are Hunter, Ranger and Force. 4gamer’s author chose a HUCaseal. They went around the lobby looking at the item shop and weapon shop. Since it was an alpha test, only the beginner items were sold. They also saw other stores around that appeared to be closed. Perhaps in the future these shops will open.

Today the player login for the Phantasy Star Online 2 Alpha has went live. Players are now able to download the client, with some more information being revealed.

Some new info was revealed about Phantasy Star Online 2 on PSO2's facebook page and website, along with some concept art and new pictures.

• There will be multi-party quests, in addition to multi-party areas.
• Techniques and items can be linked to the number key palette menu.
• Lip color will be a character creation customization option.

Phantasy Star Online 2: Enemies and Event

Another developer email was sent out today from Sonic Team. This time around it features a new monster, as well as revealing a new weapon type, along with a new class, the ranger male RAmar.

Sakai the producer of Phantasy Star Online 2, also revealed that on July 25th "PSO2 content that has been shrouded in mystery, will finally become clear! Please look forward to this briefing because a large amount of information will be shown."

PSO2: Forces and Rappies Revealed!

Sega revealed more teaser pictures of Phantasy Star Online 2. This time we are shown the FOmarl casting a spell with a staff, putting any doubters that magic users were cut from the game.

Next they shown another classic class, the FOmar, and a classic monster the Rappy, all throwbacks to the first game Phantasy Star Online, which stem from the series itself.
