Ride With Elegance in the Air

Kalypso Media revealed another character profile for the upcoming Airline Tycoon 2. This time it is superstar with style Natalie Childman. Now taking on the world of air travel, Natalie is very kind, would never think of sabotage or illegal means to get ahead on the competition.  Her airline is always sold out and she has many fans who adore her.

Airline: Kolibri Travel

Motto: Everyone should be able to fly!

Natalie  is  an  'It  Girl'  with  ambitions. Following  the success of her  'All about Valentine' collection, she now wants  to conquer the world as an Airline Tycoon. Despite  her  lack  of  knowledge,  she's making  her  start  with  unwavering optimism.  Since  she  is  a  good  person through and  through, she would never use  illegal  methods  against  her competitors.  Her  machines  are configured in Natalie's own very unique design,  because  her  fans  should ultimately  receive  something  "Natalie"
for  their  money.  She  had  also  once heard  something  or  other  about maintenance,  but  that's  what  she  has her  advisors  for. Whether  it's  curiosity or because they're already fans anyway, Natalie  never  has  problems  finding employees  or  marketing  her  flights. Particularly  in  marketing,  she  has outstanding  connections  to  all  the important  people...  practically  child's play.

Dominion's a League of Legend!

Riot Games launched a new game mode for League of Legends today.  This new mode will be called Dominion, it will be a capture-and-hold style of play for the hit multiplayer online battle arena.  Summoners will battle it out for control of five key points on the new map "The Crystal Scar".  The new mode is said to be an accelerated style of pvp for the game and victory is always in question as late game comebacks are always a possibility.

Here's a list of all the new features available with League of Legends: Dominion and check out the spotlight video below!

·         Capture-and-hold gameplay: Summoners battle it out for control of five unique strategic targets, capturing points from the opposing team and defending them against enemy intrusion.
·         An all-new map: The action in League of Legends: Dominion takes place in the Crystal Scar, a highly contested, war-torn mining village featuring stunning new art crafted specifically for the new map.
·         Fast-paced action: League of Legends: Dominion is an accelerated version of classic League of Legends gameplay – matches last around 20 minutes, so gamers can enjoy a rapid-fire alternative to the more strategic, measured pace of Summoner’s Rift.
·         Non-stop combat: From beginning to end, players will enjoy unrelenting skirmishes as they vie for control over the map – in League of Legends: Dominion, Summoners can expect an onslaught of one-on-one and small team fights.
·         Down-to-the-wire victories: Matches of League of Legends: Dominion are competitive until the very end – late-game comebacks are possible and the outcome is always in question.
·         Completely free: Like classic League of LegendsDominion is completely free-to-play for new and veteran Summoners alike.  Players will be able to use all their existing masteries, runes, champions and skins on Dominion.

Diablo III Delayed to 2012

Blizzard's next big game Diablo III to nobodies surprise has been delayed to early 2012. While this is both a good and bad thing, I am sure fans are disappointed, as it means more waiting.

"However, this week we pulled together people from all of the teams involved with the game to decide whether we felt it would be ready before the end of December, and we grudgingly came to the conclusion that it would not. Ultimately, we feel that to deliver an awesome Diablo sequel that lives up to our expectations and yours as well, we should take a little more time and add further polish to a few different elements of the game."

The Diablo III team felt that the game was not up to the quality, after some discussion, they grudgingly came to the conclusion that they needed more time.

It is not all dark clouds, the post goes on to reveal that since the game was delayed into 2012, they will be inviting more testers for the Diablo III beta. So make sure you are opted in with your battle.net account.

For those that need a dungeon crawler fix, I highly recommend Torchlight II when it releases later this year or Torchlight I which is already available.

Take To The Skies With Torro Aero

Another one of the playable characters in Airline Tycoon 2 was profiled today. Tina Cortez owner of Torro Aero "Business is like a bullfight!" knows what she wants and how to get it. As one of the four characters, Tina's playstyle is more conservative, you must use her penny-pinching and ruthless management skills to be successful. Airline Tycoon 2 is set to launch on October 11th.

Airline-Name: Torro Aero

Motto: Business is like a bullfight!

The tough Spaniard, Tina Cortez, knows exactly what  she wants  and  how  she's going  to  get  it.  After  betting  on  the wrong  horse  in  the  risky  real  estate market,  she  now  wants  to  completely
take  off  again  in  the  airline  business. She  holds  understanding  and  even compassion  in  check;  ultimately,  it's about business. Behind Tina's perfectly styled appearance and her ever-present
smart  phone,  hides  a  calculating businesswoman,  who  does  not  shy away  from  playing  hardball.  And  not just  with  her  competitors:  even employees  and  machines  are  not
handled  particularly  delicately.  The salaries of her employees are squeezed as much as possible and  the minimum maintenance  for  her  machines  is  also good  enough.  Only  budget  airlines
think  like  that.  And with  the  dumping prices,  the  competition  starts  to  look very  old  very  fast.  If  the  employees happen  to  get  too  unhappy,  then  it's better to part with them. Always on the
telephone, Tina is also always on top of things  and  knows  exactly  what  needs to be done.

Enter The Battlefield September 29th

Looks like we were a bit wrong on the date for beta. Just announced, Battlefield 3 will be heading into open beta on September 29th.

Everyone who wants to try out the game will be able to suit up and head into battle. The single map available will be Operation Metro rush map, which takes places in the streets of Paris and an underground subway.

Players who are Battlefield Veterans will unlock the M1911 Pistol and special Battlefield 3 badges. You must be a registered member of the EA Gun Club to unlock these bonuses.

For purchasers of Medal of Honor they will get a 48-hour early access to the Battlefield 3 beta on September 27th, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

This is the same map used for Battlefield 3 alpha (seen above) and probably not the best showcase for the game. Expect huge resistance in the subway with narrow tunnels, giving the defenders an easy advantage, as the attacking side is funneled through these narrow paths, often ending the game at this choke point.

PC players will login via the Battlelog website and launch the game from there. Battlelog is not only a stat tracking website, but the entire portal to the game itself, everything is done through Battelog.

You can read up more on the beta on the official beta site.
