BloodRayne Looking Good
Some new screenshots for next weeks release of BloodRayne:Betrayal, and it looks oh so good. The pics shows some sort of monster blob, locations, and traps. The 2D art style of BloodRayne:Betrayal is very aesthetically pleasing, and I can't help but get a Castlevania vibe from the pics. BloodRayne should be available next week for the consoles PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade.

Dungeons Need Defending
Dungeon Defenders will feature four distinct hero classes, each with there own set of weapons and abilities. The loot will be ample and the gear up-gradable. You can also expect to acquire your own "familiar's", these little guys can supposedly be leveled up and customized and even traded with other players. The role of the player will be defending there castle from hordes of monsters and bosses. You will have the ability to summon traps and other defenses. Not just a strategy game though, the player will actually participate in the battles using spells and melee to send those mobs packing.
I will also admit I am a huge sucker for cartoons and games that celebrate that cartoon style of artwork. Dungeon Defenders does not disappoint in that aspect. The style looks fun and kid friendly while still being rich enough to keep the older gamer involved. The expressive water-color style cartoon graphics also allows the game to be run on a wide range of computers.
The game will also feature a large variety in levels. Each with there own settings, monster types, and scripted surprises for the player. There will be story-book style cinematic's for the campaign mode and each class will have its own ending. With four different levels of difficulty ranging from novice to master each with there own levels of loot and experience points it also looks to have promising replay value. There will also be a strong emphasis on stats for the players to go over and examine, from graphs to hit/miss ratio's every detail is logged for you to analyze. The game will also feature multiple modes of play. There will be a pvp mode and "Challenge" mode which allows players to play any level with unique rule sets and goals.
Overall the game looks like its going to be a really fun and addicting take on the action-rpg genre. I can't wait to start nuking all the hordes of monsters and gathering my "loot"! Dungeon Defenders has been out on the mobile market for over a year now but the will be joining the console and pc platforms soon. It will also feature the ability to play with people using mobile devices online. Dungeon Defenders is set to release on Oct 19th for the Xbox Live Arcade and for Windows PC. A PSN release has yet to be determined.
