Project Zomboid Even More Zombitastic!

If you haven't heard of Project Zomboid listen up! The Indie Stone development company is bringing us realistic zombie survival and its pretty damn fun.  Right now its only in alpha stages but they recently announced their first major update to the game.  The alpha is free to demo or subscribe to the full version (like Minecraft) and by subscribing it helps them continue development on the game.  It is $7.99 on www.desura.com or you can try the demo version free. Purchasing of the game will give you access to every stage of development and all the current features implented into the game as of now.  I have only personally tried the demo and it is a really great game.

Project Zomboid isn't a game with a ending or a victory.  It's a survival game, there isn't a question of if your going to die, its WHEN will you die.  It's all about surviving as long as you can and using the stuff you find in the zombie apocalypse to your advantage.  From boards to reinforce your "fortress" to cans of soup, you will have to use what's available to you and simply survive.  There's two modes of play, one that features more of a plot where you have to protect your injured wife, keeping her alive as long as you can as well as yourself, and a free-roam mode where you can just check out the large map.
