Hit a Homerun with Kinect Sports: Season 2
Rare and BigPark today are finally showing America's pastime Baseball for Kinect Sports: Season Two at PAX Prime. Anyone attending PAX Prime will be able to play head to head in a split screen battle of pitcher vs batter.
The developers are claiming they are pushing Kinect's technology to it's limits. Features being added are in-game voice commands, and the most advanced body tracking in any Kinect game to date.
As the batter, the player will be able to aim left or right, but swing early or late when trying to hit the baseball. Players can also bunt, base hit, or step into the swing to give a more powerful swing. Apparently players will be able to call in a "Star Batter" who gives increased chances at hitting a homerun, but can only be used one time per game.
Being the pitcher will enable you to pitch a variety of throws depending on your arm speed. Developers are saying they will have 6 different types of throws, from a slider to a curveball to just a plain ole' fastball down the middle. Like batting, you will have the option of calling in a "Star Pitcher"
that enables extra fast pitches, especially the fastball, this player can only be used once per game.
Kinect Sports: Season Two launches on October 28th, on Xbox 360 and requires the Xbox Kinect.
