Lionsgate announced today that they have optioned the film rights from Deep Silver to develope a feature film inspired by the game Dead Island. The trailer Deep Silver released for the game back in February 2011 was a viral success, it was beautiful and haunting. Personally I wish it had more relevance to the game because it was truly one of the best trailers I have ever seen, but that didn't happen. The trailer was named by G4 as the best trailer ever made.
